# Gated Alpha — Group Owner Onboarding Guide

This guide helps Telegram group/channel owners onboard to Gated Alpha in a few minutes.

## 1) Add the bot to your group
- Add **@gatedalpha_bot** as an admin in your Telegram group or channel.
- Keep bot privacy disabled so tagged calls can be parsed.

## 2) Run setup
In the same group, run:

/setup
```

Follow the inline wizard:
1. Display name
2. Price per call (USDC)
3. Supported chains
4. Categories
5. Payout wallet
6. Confirm

## 3) Post your first parseable alpha call
Minimum format:
- Include a contract address
- Tag `@gatedalpha_bot`

Example:

CA 0x1234...abcd @gatedalpha_bot
Liquidity rotation setup, watching reclaim + volume expansion.
```

## 4) Verify activation
After parseable ingest:
- Group status moves from `pending_verification` → `active`
- Your preview appears in `/alpha/latest`
- Agents can query and pay for full payloads on `/alpha/:id`

## 5) Operational controls
Use bot commands in group:
- Update price
- Update payout wallet
- Pause / resume as needed

## Tips for better performance
- Keep calls specific and timely.
- Include concise thesis context with the CA.
- Stay consistent in one niche (AI, memecoins, DeFi, etc.) to improve ranking signal.

## Troubleshooting
- **No parse detected:** confirm CA format and `@gatedalpha_bot` tag.
- **No activation:** ensure setup is completed and bot has proper permissions.
- **No API visibility:** confirm group is active and not paused.
